Parfums De Marly Kalan

To begin this small review on Kalan, I don't personally detect any similarity to Baccarat Rouge 540 at all. Kalan isn't as mass appealing as some of the other options in the Parfums De Marly range, so will be a little more subjective. To me, I mostly get a strong herbal/green smell, which can be a little harsh if you over apply. The scent has quite strong projection, has great longevity and will even linger in a room after leaving. I'm not entirely sure what the compliment factor would be, but from those who I've asked so far, it seems to be quite average. I think I'd personally enjoy the fragrance alot more if it had a little more sweetness incorporated, but overall it's still a nice fragrance and quite unique. I'd give the fragrance a 6.5 maybe a 7/10. I personally prefer Layton and Herod over Kalan. Definitely wouldn't recommend blind buy, it's worth spending the money on a sample of this fragrance first to make sure it's something that you like.
